A simple on/off switch magnetizes or de-magnetizes the unit from your work surface. You can hot glue the black base plate to your work area if you don't already have a magnetic surface to mount these to.
With the magnetic Hand Stabilizer oval plate mounted to the magnet at the top, you can find the right spots for you to work comfortably from. From there you can pivot to acheive many angles for you to do your work up close to the torch. The ball joint at the top gives you endless angles to choose from.
Notice the ergonomics. Your hand is stabilized using the pad on the side of your hand. You are not putting pressure on your wrists or carpal tunnel area. This positioning is similar to resting your hand on your desk and writing with a pen. This will keep your circulation running smoothly.

The Bearfoot Articulator comes with four brass "Stringer Keepers" and four extra magnets. You can also find our Stringer Keepers in the Parts/Extras section of our tool store. For this use, they are used to hold the rods in place. If you choose to not use them for cane preheating, well then, you have four wonderful stringer keepers to use for that purpose.

We suggest you get two so you can stabilize both hands up close to your work area. You will really see the difference in the quality of your work. No more holding your breath while you put dots on and now you can come from a steady consistent angle. Too much coffee? No longer a problem. Plus you save money when you buy two or three.
